Do I cook this like conventional beef?

You can use our beef in your favorite recipes as long as you remember that it is lower in fat, and so it cooks faster. It is best to be very watchful and use a meat thermometer to make sure that cuts being cooked quickly, like steaks on the grill, do not get overcooked.

Is the beef certified organic?

No, our pastures are certified organic, which means that we use no pesticides or herbicides. We have not yet certified our beef because of the record-keeping requirements this imposes for the herd, and because we do occasionally worm our animals. We never use growth hormones or routine fed antibiotics.
