DESCRIPTION:Proper stockmanship is built on communication\, trust\, and respect—not fear or force. Join us at the Paicines Ranch Learning Center to learn from expert educator Dawn Hnatow\, who draws from years of mentorship with Bud Williams and daily work with cattle. Through this workshop\, you’ll learn to read livestock behavior\, use proper position and timing to apply pressure strategically\, and work with animals as partners—making your idea their idea. The result: calmer animals\, easier gathers\, more efficient handling\, less sickness\, and better weight gains for both handler and herd. \nDay 1 / February 5 – Foundational Workshop covers core principles with live demonstrations\, perfect for those new to low-stress livestock handling or needing a refresher. \nDay 2 / February 6 – Advanced Workshop will be with a small group (no more than 20 people) and you’ll get hands-on practice with Dawn. This day is designed for participants who have completed Day 1 or have previous low-stress livestock handling education.
